About Stewarding

Many events and festivals in the UK would not be able to keep going if not for the support of volunteers. Volunteering can take on many forms but the majority of roles will involve dealing with customers and controlling access around the site. This is a fantastic way to experience an event as it allows you to become part of a great team with sense of belonging but also plenty of free time to go off and enjoy the entertainment.

Opportunities vary across different events so for more information, please login/register and select the event you are interested in.

To become a volunteer, you must be aged 18 or over when you arrive on site and also have the right to work in the UK.

Bristol International Jazz & Blues Festival

Bristol Jazz and Blues From swing to funk, bebop to blues, Gypsy jazz to gospel, soul to rock ‘n roll, Bristol Jazz & Blues Festival never fails to surprise and delight music lovers. The festival’s genre-traversing line-up is a ‘This is Your Life’ of jazz and blues – a journey through the decades from the birth of jazz to the current day.
This year’s line-up features the wonderful Macy Gray, a live show from prolific producer and musician Quantic featuring Alice Russell, the world premiere of Andy Sheppard’s Metropolis live score
Held in Colston Hall, O2 Academy and Folk House Bristol, it is one of the few festivals that we work with that is an indoor event so everything is close to hand :)
Volunteers help in a variety of areas including Entrances, Merchandise/Info, Collections, Transport, Traffic Management and Logistics. Shift lengths and times will vary depending on your role but will enable volunteers to enjoy events when off duty (space permitting).
