Thursday 29th August - Sunday 1st September 2024

We are on the lookout for friendly and enthusistic people to volunteer at EOTR Festival. This will involve working approx. 3x6hr shifts over the festival, see shift options below. In return for volunteering you will receive access to the festival, including free camping/live-in vehicle pass and/or parking within the crew area. And also gain early access, so you can camp from Wednesday, a day before the customers arrive.

Volunteer shift options 2024

Please note some options have already filled up. Please see below for current availability.

Option 1: Main Team. Friday to Sunday shifts.

We require the majority of volunteers to work Friday-Sunday. 3x6hr shifts (18 hours maximum), made up of one morning shift, one afternoon and one evening. You will need to arrive on site no later than Friday afternoon and attend a briefing before you begin volunteering. The earliest shifts on this option will begin Friday morning and could be as late as Sunday evening. If you have limited availability during this time (i.e. can't arrive until Friday, need to leave before Monday, let us know in the additional comments box at the end of this form) Approximately 300 places in total.


Option 2: Double shift Thursday and one single shift. FULL

This will involve working a long shift on Thursday (approx. 12 hours) and one normal (6hr) shift on either Friday, Saturday or Sunday. You can arrive on site anytime as of midday Wednesday and stay until midday Monday. Please only express your interest in this option if you feel you will be able to work this long shift on Thursday. It is a busy get in day with the majority of the audience arriving on site. Breaks will be included. You will need to arrive on site no later than Thursday morning and attend a briefing before you begin your shift. Approximately 100 places in total.


Option 3: Live-In Field and Wristband Exchange. Thursday and Friday shifts. FULL

This will involve working two 9hr shifts, one on Thursday and the second shift on Friday. You will need to arrive on site no later than Thursday morning and attend a briefing before you begin volunteering. Both these shifts will be busy with greeting customers. You will be working with either the live-in vehicle field team or the wristband exchange team. A break will be included. Approximately 40 places in total.


Option 4: Pre/Post Festival Team. FULL

This option involves working on Tuesday-Thursday pre-festival (last pre-festival shift may finish as late as midnight on Thursday) and also on the Monday morning post-festival. The total number of hours is approximately 28hrs and is higher than other options as you will not be working at all Friday to Sunday. For this option, it is best if you can arrive on site Monday, but by Tuesday morning at the latest, and stay until the afternoon on Monday. Please note there will be no festival transport to the site until Wednesday so you will need to make your own way to site. The Monday morning shift will finish at 1pm. Approximately 20 places in total.


Option 5: Earlies Team. Friday to Monday shifts. FULL

This option requires you to work 17 hours (you must be able to work all of the times below) allowing you to see most of the acts. Most of this team will cover arena gates and other early stewarding positions until the main volunteer teams start.

Approximately 36 places in total.


Option 6: Lates Team. Friday to Sunday shifts.

We need a small team to cover the late night venues on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. This requires you to work approx. 12.5 hours (you must be able to work all of the times below). Venues covered include; Disco Ship (DJ's), Silent Disco, Big Top, Comedy, Cinema and Folly Venue. All lates team stewards will work in pairs. The Friday shift will begin slightly earlier as there will be a quick team briefing before you go on shift.

Friday 23:00 – 03:00*

Saturday 23:15 – 03:00*

Sunday 23:15 – 03:00*

*One of these shifts will run until 04:00 as we need a few people to work an extra hour each evening to finish off the silent disco.

Approximately 40 places in total.


Option 7: Night Shifts.

We require a small team to cover the volunteer HQ tent overnight from approx. 23:00-07:00. This will involve doing two night shifts totalling 16.5hrs. Duties will include restocking the refreshments area, preparing paperwork for the next days teams, maintaining radios and other equipment. Approximately 9 places in total.
