Register and Apply for this Festival!

Set in the sublimely picturesque Eastnor Castle Deer Park in Hereford, Lakefest prides itself on creating a hugely enjoyable, family friendly festival where music, entertainment, family activities, fairground rides and creativity collide to produce an unmeasured Festival that will capture the hearts and minds of attendees, regardless of age.

Based on the ethos of being “all inclusive and family friendly” there is a whole program of activities, music and entertainment set in the secure confines of a stunning natural valley, which is overlooked by the exquisite Eastnor Castle. For more information about this festival, please see the Lakefest website.

Wednesday 6th - Sunday 10th August 2025

In return for volunteering you will receive access to the festival, including free camping/live-in vehicle pass and/or parking. You will also gain early access, so you can camp from Tuesday, a day before the customers arrive. Most roles will involve working for up to four 5-hour shifts over the festival. Please see below for more information on what will be involved.

Lakefest Volunteer Team Descriptions

Car Park Team

This involves working up to four 5-hour shifts (minimum of 3 shifts if you have limited availability e.g. Fri, Sat and Sun). These can fall anytime between Wednesday and Monday morning. This team will be the first to greet customers so a warm welcome to start their day off will be fantastic. Volunteers’ role will be directing cars into parking bays and once parked, direct customers to the campsite and wristband exchange. There will always be managers on hand to answer any questions. Please note: Carpark passes are included in the cost of a festival ticket so no money will be taken on the carpark.

Wristband Exchange Team

This involves working up to four 5-hour shifts (minimum of 3 shifts if you have limited availability e.g. Fri, Sat and Sun). These can fall anytime between Wednesday afternoon and Sunday evening. There will be three wristband exchanges (North, South and Day/Green). This year the plan is to wristband customers as they arrive in their vehicles before going to the campsites. A smiling face and cheerful disposition will go a long way when greeting customers. Volunteers’ role is to scan customers tickets and issue the correct wristband. Exceptional accountability must be taken when handling wristbands. Any broken (or removed wristbands due to over tightening) must be kept and accounted for. A Wicked Manager will always be on hand to answer any questions.

Campsite Team

This involves working up to four 5-hour shifts (minimum of 3 shifts if you have limited availability e.g. Fri, Sat and Sun). These can fall anytime between Wednesday and Monday morning. Many customers will have had a long drive to the site and will want to get set up as quickly as possible. A friendly face will assure those who have had a difficult journey that all is ok and they will have a fantastic time. There are several different Campsites at Lakefest, (General, Family, Accessible, Red, Green, Cyan, Pink etc) so if asked, please make sure you send customers in the right direction. If working on the campsites, keep fire lanes clear and if anyone should look like they are setting up in a fire lane, try to talk to them as soon as you see them as it is much easier to ask them to move before they have set up. There will always be managers on hand if you need additional support with any issues.
